Physiotherapist applying kinesiology tape to a shoulder

Medical taping is a treatment method in which tape is used to support muscles and joints without restricting your freedom of movement more than necessary. Depending on the aim, we use elastic (kinesiology) tape or rigid sports tape.

Medical taping can be used for, among other things:

  • injuries and overuse: to support and offload muscles and joints
  • pain: tape can dampen pain and make moving easier
  • posture correction: the tape provides a subtle cue that makes you more aware of your posture
  • swelling and oedema: tape can help support fluid drainage
  • sports support: preventive taping before training or competition

Taping is always an addition to physiotherapy treatment and goes hand in hand with exercises and advice. Please feel free to get in touch to discuss the possibilities.
