Medical fitness is exercise done safely and sensibly under the guidance of a physiotherapist. Unlike a regular gym, you train on the basis of your own health and personal situation, with expert supervision and close attention to correct technique.
Medical fitness is suitable for, among others:
- people who want to keep training after a course of treatment: so that the results you have worked for are maintained
- people with a chronic condition: such as diabetes, COPD, cardiovascular disease or rheumatic conditions
- older adults: who want to work on strength, balance and mobility
- anyone who wants to improve their fitness safely: but does not feel at home in a regular gym
Before you start, we hold an intake session. We discuss your health, your wishes and your goals, and draw up a personal training programme. You then train in small supervised groups, and we review your progress with you regularly, adjusting the programme where needed.
