This gently lifts and loosens the skin, the underlying connective tissue and the muscle tissue, and stimulates local blood flow.<\/p>\n<p>Cupping can be used for increased muscle tension, stiffness and adhesions in the connective tissue. The cups can either stay in one place (static cupping) or be glided across the skin (dynamic cupping). After treatment the skin may be temporarily discoloured; this is harmless and fades within a few days.<\/p>\n<p>At our practice, cupping is always applied as part of a broader physiotherapy treatment plan, combined with exercise therapy and advice.<\/p>\n<p>Would you like to know whether cupping could help with your symptoms?
